  EXPOSING JW'S AT THE 7-11 THIS MORNING

  i'm getting coffee at the 7-11 about 8:30 this morning , in the parking lot i see this guy i know and his wife talking to some jw's in the parking lot.

  i go over and say hi joe and wife, i play stupid and ask do you go to church with these people.

  they say no they are preaching jesus to us.

  Why Will the WT Ultimately Fail

  i see two compelling reasons right off the bat:.

  1. financial - this one is a bit counterintuitive, as we all know the wtb$ is loaded.

  but if we could see real preaching stats by territory, i bet my ass that the most return visits are in the western/developed countries.

  I see two compelling reasons right off the bat:

  1. Financial - This one is a bit counterintuitive, as we all know the WTB$ is loaded. But if we could see real preaching stats by territory, I bet my ass that the most return visits are in the western/developed countries. WT will tell you that there is the greatest number of publishers and they are of course concerned with the survival of as many people as possible.

  Bull$hit.

  This is where the most donations are coming from. I can guarantee you that the moment a door gets slammed in their face by a non-believer is the moment a publisher mentally writes off that person. Yes they go back but not out of love; they have to keep up with FS hours and this is the territory the Borg has assigned to them. End of story. I've heard reliable stories where publishers "reserve" the nice homes of non-believers after field service for after the big-A.

  So, are we saying that the millions/billions of people in developing or third world countries are les valuable or don't deserve to be visited repeatedly for their salvations sake? Of course not! They just don't have any money to donate. I think the whole charade with worldwide expansion is a tactic very similar to the lost leader tactic in sales. There is no doubt in my mind that the WT is at a loss (financially) in these places and only uses the membership there to feed the R&F in developed countries growth and success stories in order to guilt them into more slave labor and squeeze as much as they can out of them. The growth worldwide is composed of the expansion in unsuspecting (ehem NEW) lands and at the same time under minded by the deteriorating numbers in places sick of the WT 's crap. How long can this growth remain in the black? We'll see, I hope not too long ..

  This can't sit well for too long with an increasingly informed, more educated, younger R&F flock. The constant shift of major doctrine and playing God with family and health issues will eventually get "Millions who live now, to leave the f#$% out and never come back". Which means less donations, more panic, tighter control for remaining members more aggravation for such and eventually a downward organizational tailspin.

  2. Publishing Media - The WT's distinct MO is brainwashing (err.. preaching) through their own printed rags. But, we have a problem, Houston. Printed media is increasingly viewed as wasteful, harmful to the environment, slow, expensive and too cumbersome to produce. For as long as there are older generation publishers who pay for it, I guess the presses will roll. But eventually you'd have a hard time convincing a Gen X or Y person to buy a printed newspaper. True, classic books, like the bible and different aids will be OK for now, but the periodicals on paper are doomed.

  And the boys in Brooklyn know it! BUT... they have a dilemma..

  It would be fairly painless to switch to paperless periodicals. The public's sentiment not only internal to the Org but in general is receptive. Waive the Green (no pun intended) card in their face, make them feel good about "helping the environment" and they will take PDF over paper.

  HOWEVER, the method of delivery is through the most dangerous of them mediums at all: THE INTERNET.

  How do you keep one to strictly looking up/downloading your vomit and not looking at opposing views. Yes "Crisis of Conscience" in a paper copy can be dangerous too, but the ease, speed and sheer volume of information the internet afford is going to be devastating. Scare tactics and threats can go only so far.

  I think Crooklyn is testing the waters for going hip (in the name of member retention and their own survival of course) and now trying set the ground rules for access.

  Only time will show how right/wrong I am. Yet, I hope for the best .

  Oh, and my rambling is neither Spirit Directed nor Inspired, take it for what is worth. Also, it constitutes is by no means a comprehensive list; please add or correct me as you see fit.

  Gambling on Armageddon?

  ever since the millerites, many people have been gambling on armageddon and the return of christ.. the conventional view is that god will once again gather his people into the lands of their inheritance from the four corners of the earth, and that once established, the jewish state will build a temple.

  a great gentile leader (called "gog" by ezekiel) will then bring a vast army down upon jerusalem and will eventually be destroyed by the returning christ.

  according to zachariah, the lord will cause a great earthquake to split the mount of olives, and when the jews first behold their lord, they will ask about the wounds in his hands.

  Let's also not forget that from a psycological stand point urgency can not be instilled if doom-gloom events are not to happen in the subject's lifetime.

  You can give rats ass about someone not making it through the firestorm say 500 years from now, right? Just as much as people 500 years ago cared about you...

  No amount of logic can stand in the way of the "just around the corner" reasoning; by the time most peolpe realize they've been duped, they are too deep into the quick sand to make it out unharmed...

  Sorry guys, logical fallacies and logic in general is usually studied or touched upon in higher education - a field JWs are strongly encouraged to get into :-)... Thus the murder this clown gets away with.

  As someone fascinated with logical fallacies and propaganda techniques, I have a great appreciation for your efforts middleman. Will be checking often for new posts.

  Question about DF'ing

  i have a relative who was df'ed in one congregation and later moved to another congregation in another state.

  the old congregation, whose elders were friends with my relative's ex-spouse, refused to reinstate my relative for a few years, (the ex-spouse continually had a hand in their decision).

  finally, the new congo contacted bethel and eventually the old congo allowed the reinstatement.

  she is one of the two people i have had a major hand in helping to see the bullshit of the watchtower religion.

  The ONLY way I'd consider the WT making any kind of admission would be if the GB issued a statement starting with: "We, the GB of JWs fu*ked up..." The only way I'd hear such a statement, however, shall positively be only in my dreams.... -KV

  at least i have been told the same stupid thing over and over again by every jw, i've had any discussion on the topic with and by any speaker on the platform when it came to the "abstaining" from blood.. here it goes: "if your doctor told you to abstain from alcohol and you had it injected in your veins, didi you really follow your doctor's advice?

  Is it the fact that the very example is given in the frist stage of the indoctrination manual (err.. the "What te Bible Really Teaches" book), or the drones in Brooklyn are that stupid to understand the difference between bioligical proceses and that blood, unlike alcohol, does not get metabolized when put into the bloodstream. Or is it the GB's inifinite arrogance and self-delusion to know that hte crap is wrong and yet pedal it down to the R&F drone to test the limits of unquestionable accepatance, maybe in preparation for a policy reversal or who knows what?

  What do you think? Your thoughts may enlighten me on how to resppond in any future discussion without throwing up first...

  it's going around as the rumored program, but there's no proof.. if it is real though...is very last one symbolic?

  You couldn't be more on point. I've had an elder conducting a study tell me that "When A-oh-A breaks loose, we may get instructions to go to the KH in the middle of the night, as this would probably be the only safe place" and what good are (life saving) instructions if we have doubts and don't obey unquestionably ...

  My rational logical mind (an Engineer by trade) prompted me to ask how are we going to get the instructions? All modern communications will likely be down in the havoc, everyone will be in panic, are we to get a phone call, letter, spoken directly to by Jehovah or Jesus? Seriously! I wanated to know....

  And I got one of those glazed (cognitive dissonant) stares and he told me "we don't know exactly, we just have to be obedient and Jehova will protect us". My thoughts immediatelly thereafter: WTF? WTFFFFFFFF?
